Gareth & Anne walked to Castellet de Orba from home. We decided to do the walk from a different direction to last time so approached the castellet from the east side so as to walk round the mountain in a clockwise direction.  At one point we thought we had missed a turning so we turned back only to discover that we’d been right all along, and the turn off to start the climb was actually quite close to where we’d been! It was a very steep climb and we were knackered when we finally made it to the top!! The path isn’t great and lots of clambering over rocks made it quite hard work – worth it though for the great views at the top. We came down the same way as last time (went up and down the same route then) and found it quite difficult with no obvious path until you get down to the road from Murla. We relied on the markings to guide us, although they were not always obvious! Again, lots of clambering over rocks, and loose stones made the descent quite tricky.
