It was finally time to do the Cherry Walk, but we’d been worried about rain which had been forecast all week. Luckily it stayed dry for the walk, although it was quite cloudy. Unfortunately, however, rain over the past week meant that most of the cherries had been picked and a lot of those on the trees had split open. We did still manage to pick a few to eat! It appears to have been another bad year for cherries in this area. The length of the walk was just under 6km and it took us about 3¾ hours, although we had quite a long clara stop at Bar Nou in Patro (very slow service!). Casa Kelles, the bar we usually go to there, was closed.
We met at Bar L’Aplec in Beniali for coffee at 10am (it was actually closed and not due to open until 1pm, but the owner kindly opened it for us to have coffees) and returned there for lunch.
