Phil, Freda, Gareth & Anne did the Lower Western Montgo walk starting on the ‘Yellow Brick Road’. It was very windy but warm (Gareth even wore his shorts!) and there were some excellent views. There were still a lot of caterpillar nests around, but also some lovely spring flowers for the first time in a while. We took a longer way back which made for a better workout.
We met in Bar Pedro in Jesus Pobre for coffee and went to Geographique at the Arenal for lunch. Lunch was nice, but shame about the dreadful carajillos! They told us they were carajillo quemados, but these didn’t even taste of rum, were served in a cup rather than a glass and had no cinnamon or burnt sugar!!
The walk was 7.5km and took just under 3 hrs.
