Phil, Gareth & Anne did the Lower Western Montgo walk today starting on the ‘Yellow Brick Road’.   We couldn’t believe it was almost exactly 2 years since we’d done this walk and some of the path was almost unrecognisable due to fallen trees, dead branches, etc.   It’s a nice walk though, and a good workout with the big climb at the start.  We went off-piste towards the end of the walk, trying a path that we’d spotted just before starting the ‘yellow brick road’ climb.  It proved to be hard to navigate, but it didn’t take too long to get back to our usual path – probably one to avoid in the future though!!   It was a beautiful day – the best in a while, with clear blue skies and warm sun.  The walk was around 7.5km and took 2 hours 50 minutes..

We had coffee in Bar Pedro in Jesus Pobre and lunch at Restaurant Anissa with Freda.
