After 3 weeks without a walk due to the bad weather, it was great to be back walking again.  We did the Benidoleig clockwise walk, starting at the cemetery.  We hadn’t done the walk that way for quite a long time and last time we walked up through the urbanisation at the start, but we agreed that this version was better.  A couple of years ago there had been work going on (we thought they were going to build houses) and the path was closed, but there is a new path now which doesn’t go through the forest but runs alongside it.  It felt like harder work, partly because the long, steep path ahead was more visible than the one through the forest, and partly because we were out of practice!  The walk was about 7km long and took just 2 hours 15 minutes which was a lot quicker than we’d expected!  

We went to Ballesta for coffee with Freda before the walk and returned there for lunch with Freda and Ian.
