Phil & Freda are away doing the Camino, so just Gareth & Anne walking today and they did the Benimaurell loop clockwise via Fleix.  We were walking on a Monday because there has been a heatwave here over the last few days and Friday was too hot to think about walking in the hills!  Much cooler today – around 26 or 27C and some nice breezes, although it was still pretty hot on the climbs!  There weren’t a lot of cherries, but we managed to pick some.  Also, saw some of the biggest thistles we’ve ever seen!  Didn’t bother with coffee before the walk so we could start earlier when it was cooler, and had our clara back at the house.
