It was definitely too hot to walk in the mountains but we thought it was too soon to do a proper beach walk so decided to do the coastal walk from Denia to Les Rotes.  We met for coffee at Jamaica Inn and walked to the end of Les Rotes, where we had a stop for a beer at  Ca Nano.  We asked for 3 claras with lemon as we do every week, but have never received 3 normal cañas with a plate of lemons before!!  We got the waitress to bring us a bottle of Fanta Lemon to add to our drinks but she certainly caused some amusement!

Anyway, it was a very hot walk, with little shade along the way, so we were all pretty sweaty by the end of it. Looks like we’ll be on the beach next week!  The walk was 12.06km and took us just over 3 hours.  We had a nice lunch (and lots of water!) at Seona.
