Orba – Seguili

Phil & Freda and Gareth & Anne did the Orba – Seguili walk.   We started the walk in Orba after coffee at El Fartet – (Bar Punt was closed) past the newly renovated Font de Dalt to the Seguili Mountain.  The start of the walk  is a steep climb up to the top  then we followed the path round the mountain, past the Orbeta mast, down through the El Aspre urbanisation and back into the village, stopping at Forn Vell for a clara on the way.

Total length of the walk was around 8km, elevation gain was around 300m and it took us just over 3 hours – it took an hour to get to the top.  It was really cold at the start of the walk but we soon warmed up after the climb!  Note that the map below is from the last time we did the walk as Gareth’s app stopped working today!

Lunch was at a very noisy Piscina Pizzeria in Orba where the Spanish were celebrating 3 kings.  After lunch we treated ourselves to the first carajillo cremaet of the year at Bar Ballesta in Benidoleig and we were pleasantly surprised that the complimentary Roscon de Reyes that they gave us with our coffee tasted really nice!
