Gareth & Anne did a new circular walk from Orbeta – Seguili.  The walk starts up by the mast in Orbeta and the initial climb is rewarded by wonderful views over Orba and the Orba valley and also towards Orba Castle and Murla.  The path here is excellent with regular signposts from Orba Ayuntamiento.   Shortly after, however, the path becomes increasingly difficult to follow and in some places it was hard to make out a path at all.   We were lucky to have an app running on Gareth’s phone (OutdoorActive) which alerted us when we were 20 metres off the correct track, and also were grateful for spray painted yellow dots occasionally, which someone had left to confirm when you are on the right track.  The beautiful weather meant that we were wearing shorts but that meant that our legs were cut to shreds brushing against the overgrown, often prickly and sharp plants!   It eventually led into a wide dirt road which wound around the hillside to above Benidoleig.  We then walked through some surface roads before returning to a winding path which eventually took us out into the Puerta de Orba urbanisation.  We walked down through the urbanisation to the bottom, then walked along the back road which connects Puerta de Orba to Orbeta.  From there commenced a steep climb back up to Carrer Siguili in Orbeta where our car was parked.

Total length of the walk was 9.6km, and it took us 3 hours 45 mins.
