With the ever-present fire risk locally, particularly during the hot summer months, we strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with what to do in the event of an evacuation due to a major incident:
Know where the best exit for you is from the urbanisation in relation to where the fire is located.
Ensure all important documents (passport, ID, driving license, birth/marriage certificates, home insurance policy, proof of residency etc.), plus any prescribed medication are easily and quickly accessible.
If you have time, prepare a bag with 3-4 days’ worth of clothes, wallet/purse including bank/credit cards, mobile phone, laptop/tablet, chargers, keys to property and vehicles, medication, glasses etc.
Plan how you will evacuate any pets.

Who do I contact regarding electricity supply issues?
If your electricity supply fails, in the first instance, check all internal consumer units (fuse boxes) as fuses often trip and can be easily reset.
Next check the external electrical supply unit to ensure it also hasn’t tripped (a common occurrence if the correct power supply (potencia) hasn’t been contracted and the current limit exceeded). If all the above are operating correctly, check with your neighbours that there isn’t a wider supply issue. If this is the case, power cuts normally rectify themselves, sometimes in a matter of minutes, although sometimes taking several hours. You can often find updates on local social media sites.
If none of the above identify the issue, the emergency contact for Iberdrola is +34 900 224 522 or online via the Iberdrola App
